About Frankie & Meet Me by the Sea
Hi, my names Frankie (@frankiethomas,) thanks for stopping by.
I was born and grew up in Cornwall until the age of 21, which is when I decided to follow my dream of working in the fashion industry in London. Shock horror, it didn’t work out - but everything happens for a reason, right?
I returned to Cornwall two years later and fell in love with my home county all over again. You know how it is when you grow up here; the grass always seems greener elsewhere (big city life!)
I soon rediscovered my love for Cornwall and everything that it has to offer. I started looking past my local town and towards secret beaches, quirky eateries, and various activities. This is when (2018) Meet Me by the Sea was born.
I purchased my first digital camera during the pandemic and spent the majority of my time learning in-depth photography. Fast forward a couple of years, and I am now a full-time freelance food and interior photographer and have worked with over 70 businesses across Cornwall, the UK and the world, bringing their ventures to life through photography. In 2023 I was named one of Cornwall’s 30 Under 30 Class of 2023.
My partner Scott, a talented chef at a top-notch fine-dining restaurant, and we share our home with my two step-kiddies. With my passion for food photography and Scott's expertise in the kitchen, it's no surprise that food dominates our lives – hence the abundance of food content you'll find here!
