Best Places for Brunch in Cornwall: The Longstore, Truro

I’m always on the hunt for the best places for brunch in Cornwall, and do you know what? I think I’ve found the one! The first Longstore opened in Charlestown and has an incredible reputation, so I was overjoyed to hear the news that they were going to open a grill and seafood restaurant in Truro. Both of The Longstore Restaurants offer the finest steaks and seafood locally sourced from the land and sea.

The Longstore, Truro is perfectly placed on Lemon Street, just on the outskirts of the hustle and bustle of the town centre. With stylish interiors, enjoy an eclectic combination of city dining with a laidback and welcoming atmosphere. As a lover of interiors, I was instantly drawn to the colour matches and perfectly placed details. The large mirror in the middle of the restaurant creates a sophisticated, yet bold statement - The Longstore Truro is here to impress.

Leah and I ventured to The Longstore to try out their new Saturday Brunch menu. Choose from a classic breakfast choice such as the Longstore’s take on the Full English or Omelettes and Eggs Benedict or venture into something a little more out there like the Slow Roasted Pork Belly Rib or Battered Catch of the Day.

We started with an oat milk cappuccino and a latte. I hate to admit it, but I’m a bit of a coffee snob, however, I can confirm that The Longstore coffees were on point!

I was completely torn between the Full Longstore and the Steaks ‘N’ Eggs, however after a LOT of consideration (big choice, right?) I opted for the Steak and Eggs. My goodness, I was glad that I did. It was hands down the nicest brunch that I’ve ever had - big, big statement!

Leah went for the Da Bara toasted English muffin with streaky bacon. The eggs looked absolutely amazing and she said that it tasted just as good!

After we finished our brunch, we decided to order a couple of mimosas, because what’s a girly Saturday brunch without a mimosa! Brunch at The Longstore Truro felt like a real treat. My expectations were high because of their incredible reputation however they were completely exceeded.

I loved it that much that I’ve booked to go back for my partner’s birthday dinner (hopefully he isn’t reading this but hello if you are x.) I’m very much looking forward to trying out their cocktails, famous ribs and big steak cuts!

Thank you for a lovely morning Longstore, it was wonderful in every way!

*This was a gifted experience however all opinions are my own - we had a lovely morning.
