Restaurants in Cornwall: The Pantry at New Yard
Hidden between the cobbled walls, you’ll find The Pantry at New Yard. Located just outside of Helston, The Pantry offers laidback daytime food situated either in the courtyard or the pantry building. Easily pleased by aesthetics, I can’t help but fall in love with everything that New Yard has to offer.
My sister (@vlogsbyniki) and I decided to visit The Pantry a few weeks ago, and were not disappointed. We found a table within the cobbled walls of the estate, easily admiring the beauty that surrounded us. The menu changes seasonally and is combined of produce foraged from the estate or grown within their garden walls.
Niki and I decided to share several dishes because simply, we couldn’t pick one thing each. The sourdough pizza was a must; and alongside a fish bagel, lemon olives and white wine, we had a real winning combination. Everything tasted beautiful.
The glorious weather didn’t last long, and as soon as we took the last bite, the rain clouds covered the skies. We ran into the Pantry building to hide from the rain and ordered a coffee to warm us up. There’s such a welcoming and cosy energy to New Yard. Beauty lies in every direction and the food is clearly well thought of in both taste and appearance. I already can’t wait to go back, perhaps trying the New Yard Restaurant or one of their supper nights for a real treat.
